COMPANY

MORONI ULTRASUONI has been manufacturing ultrasonic cleaning systems since 1963. In the last five decades, we have developed great experience with all the technologies employed throughout the history of ultrasonic cleaning: from rotating generators to SCR generators, to today’s IGBT generators, from magnetostrictive transducers to the last-generation sinterized piezoelectric (PZT) ceramic elements in lead zirconate titanate and barium titanate.

Moroni’s products are so advanced that we supply generators and transducers to many companies in the ultrasonic cleaning business, as they find it more convenient and qualifying to buy these components from us and assemble them on their plants.

Due to 50 years of experience on the field, MORONI is able to make cleaning tests in the large and well-equipped laboratory and to establish which kind of cleaning cycle is the best for your particulars. The final decision will be taken only after having performed all possible tests: results and productivity tests, but also an estimate on consumption and production costs, so to avoid unforeseen drawbacks.

Our latest research showed that today any cleaning problem can be solved by using water-based detergents, thus avoiding all treatments based on organic solvents - proved to be dangerous and harmful to both staff workers and the environment. Our production is characterised by its innovative ecological value. Over 10 years ago, Moroni Ultrasuoni eliminated organic solvents from production. For very special markets, we offer a special “zero emission plant”.

Ask Moroni Ultrasuoni for competent, fair and FREE advise on how to solve your cleaning needs.

Actually, more than 1.500 MORONI ultrasonic plants are currently operating all over the world.

The vocabulary associated with the word “power” is wide: point, peak, pulse, crest, summit, top and so on.

Laboratory tests carried out throughout the years, as well as all specialized literature, clearly established that the dimensions of dirt particles are crucial to determine which ultrasonic frequency is best-suited for their removal:

An object can be defined as “piezoelectric” if it shows the following physical phenomenon: any increase in width corresponds to a voltage variation on the two opposite faces of the object.

In the late 1940s and 1950s, ultrasonic transducers applied to cleaning systems were mainly piezoeletctric elements with natural quartz. However, these transducers proved very weak and unable to tolerate the high power needed to achieve acceptable cleaning results.

When impacting the surface of the object that needs to be cleaned, these waves generate compression in the positive semi-wave, then decompression in the following negative semi-wave.

It consists in the alternation of periods achieving very peak power (60-80% higher than normal), followed by equivalent periods of inaction.

In order to reach the power needed for ultrasonic cleaning, it is necessary to apply several PZT elements (at least 48 in Moroni’s systems) on the walls and/or on the tank bottom.

In the production of high-frequency generators, IGBT modules (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) are a good alternative to power MOSFET, generally used by the majority of companies in this field.

Water, in the shape of air bubbles, can be found in the cleaning liquid, especially when the detergent has just been melted into the water or when its temperature is still low.

Undeniably, ultrasonic cleaners generate very loud noise, more acute than the background sound that is usually heard in factories.

The fundamental principle of ultrasonic cleaning consists in high-frequency waves propagating in a tank filled with water and detergents. When applied on the sides or on the bottom of a stainless-steel tank, PZT (piezoelectric-electrostrictive) tranducers, vibrating at very high frequencies (33.000 Hz. and more) generate waves that propagate across the volume of the tank. When impacting the surface of the object that needs cleaning, they generate compression and decompression waves which, in turn, induce vacuum bubble s(CAVITATION), that collapse at a pressure of 1000 bar.
